I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to be Free

First Parish in Waltham will host the final service in our 2024 summer service consortium, led by Elisse Ghitelman.

UUA president, Rev. Dr. Sofia Betancourt said “Collective salvation not only means that our liberation is bound up in one another, it also means that everyone is responsible for the work.” Part of this work is understanding the past.

We’ll hear from folks who have gone on Civil Rights Pilgrimages to Alabama about this eye-opening and heart-wrenching way to not just learn, but feel the history.

Please note that summer services start at 10AM instead of our usual 10:30.

Join us for the service, followed by coffee hour.  You can join us in person at 50 Church Street, Waltham MA. See our Visit page for directions and parking.  We strive to make our services available to all with  assistive listening devices, large-print hymnals, and an accessible building.

You can also watch the service online on YouTube. We will not use Zoom for this service.
