On Our Way Home

Last week, we were all invited to go on a journey together. This week, we will talk more about our destination. We will explore the various kinds of homes that we seek to create for ourselves and each other here on earth and the home we return to when our journeys here are complete. Join us for an invitation to companion each other on our journeys home!

This Week in Faith Formation

Our Chalice Children and Jr. Youth Groups will head downstairs after the Wisdom Tale to begin exploring this month’s theme, The Practice of Invitation.
All are invited to join us as we explore what “home” means and how church can be one of our many homes. Each group will use different games, art, and group discussions to create a covenant (a set of promises on how we want to be together and show up for each other at church) of their own. We will also be making chalices to take with us as a way of inviting spiritual practice into our lives outside of Sunday mornings. Children and youth will then join the rest of the congregation in the parish hall for Community Hour.

Visiting

Please use the Elks parking lot or the back parking lot at the church this week. Chaplains On The Way will hold their fundraiser outside at 12:30. Guests may need accessible parking in the front lot, so please leave it for them.

The Visit page has directions and parking information. We welcome and affirm people of all abilities, and have listening devices, large print and braille hymnals, and a wheelchair to help make our programs inclusive to all. Please let us know if we can make your visit more accessible.

We offer broadcasts on Youtube and Zoom for those unable to join us in person, or who would like to try a service before coming. Please contact our Office Administrator for Zoom details: office@walthamuu.org .
